Under the Mistletoe: A Holiday Revue

Audition call for ALL ADULTS.

A holiday song and dance revue of favorite holiday classics! Searching for male and female performers that love to dance, sing and create holiday magic for an audience of multiple ages. Solos, small group and large group numbers with partner style dancing. No dance experience required, fast learners encouraged. Song examples include: Baby, it's Cold Outside, Santa Claus is Coming' to Town, Marshmallow World, and more!

Requirements for auditions: One contemporary musical theatre or Christmas song, up to two minutes in length, please provide piano music or bring karaoke track on mp3 player. Dance auditions will occur at callbacks.

Auditions are 9/20 and 9/21. Please email or call 206-747-7380 for a time.
Rehearsals will be every Wednesday evening at 7:00pm, and some Saturdays.
Shows late December.

Yes, Virginia is the sweet story of a little girl that asks the question, "Is there a Santa Claus?". Follow her on a journey to find the answer, along with her best friend Ollie and the many friends they meet along the way.

Character breakdown:

Virginia: 8-10  years old, sweet and gentle female
Ollie: Virginia's best friend, male. 7-10 years old.
Scraggly Santa: Comedic and energetic. Male (or female) age 10-17.
Librarian: Uplifting and inspiring. Female (or male) age 10- 18.
Mr. Church: Villian of the story. Male age 10-17.
Charlotte: Mean spirited little girl and a non-believer in Santa Claus.

Age 8-14.
Ms. Whiskers (non-singing): Charlotte's prissy side kick
Pigeons: Featured dancers and singers
Chorus of townspeople, newsboys and Santas: All ages, male and female.
Very active chorus roles!

Audition requirements:
One minute song from musical theatre, Disney or movie. Please provide piano music or mp3 player with precut karaoke track. You may also sing one of these songs a cappella: America the Beautiful, Simple Gifts, I Saw Mommy Kissing Santa Claus. Monologue no longer than 1 minute or PERFORM a nursery rhyme.

This is considered a performance learning class; we teach through rehearsals and performances. A great opportunity for young performers! Rehearsals are scheduled for 5:30pm-7:00pm on Wednesdays and some Saturdays, starting in October. We observe the week of Thanksgiving. Performances in late December, before Christmas.
