The Justice and Soul Foundation is hosting a fundraising event to raise money to benefit young survivors of sex trafficking in the Foundation’s vocation training program in Cambodia.

The event, titled “Fashion SOULstice,” will be held from 6:00-10:00pm April 26 at Club Sur in Seattle. The evening will feature the creative work of stylists and makeup artists from local salons, as well as a silent auction.

The runway models featured in the Fashion SOULstice event will showcase upcoming hair, make up, and fashion trends, while integrating major themes of the Foundation: hope, restoration, empowerment, and soul.

The evening will include a silent auction, runway fashion show, and a brief introduction to the work of the non-profit Justice and Soul Foundation presented by Matthew Fairfax, Foundation co-founder and owner of the James Alan Salon and Spa in Shoreline.

“This event is designed to further connect the beauty industry to the work of the Justice and Soul Foundation, which is a non-profit school in Phnom Penh, Cambodia that teaches the fundamentals of cosmetology (hair, skin, nails and make up) to survivors of sex trafficking. The beauty industry ;is a practical way to provide these survivors a way out of poverty and the cycle of violence and the opportunity to build a sustainable career. We have enjoyed the support and involvement of the industry, and we hope to connect more industry professionals to the important work of the Foundation at this event,” explained Founder Matthew Fairfax.

Tickets to the event are $35.00 and can be purchased online.

The Justice and Soul Foundation is a non-profit organization focused on eliminating the sexual exploitation of young women and children globally as well as the restoration of the survivors.

Through the Founders’ shared connections to the salon and fashion industry, and, after several years of research, planning and interviews, they are enlisting the support of the beauty industry to create a sustainable, systemic solution that addresses sex trafficking.
