Lots of things were going on at the Ridgecrest Ice Cream Social Thursday evening at Paramount School Park, besides gallons and gallons of ice cream and toppings. This young fan got to pose for a picture with the pretty dancer.

The Swift Water Rescue Team gave demonstrations. This resident is really getting the knack of the double paddle.

There are said to be 8,000 veterans in Shoreline and this man would like to sign them all up for the Shoreline Veterans' Association.

And of course, if the bouncy house gets boring, the Keystone Kops take a break, and you need a rest, there's always the icecream.

Usually there is a photo from these events of the City Council serving ice cream. Why no photo this year? Was the Ridgecrest Neighborhood perhaps unwilling to renegotiate the terms of their "Ice Cream Social Agreement"?
