Shorewood baseball team stays undefeated by completing sweep over Glacier Peak

The Shorewood baseball team stayed undefeated by completing a three-game sweep over Glacier Peak Friday.

The Thunderbirds defeated Glacier Peak 11-0 Friday at Shorewood’s home Meridian Park Fields.

Shorewood takes an 8-0 Western Conference 3A record (11-0 overall) into a game at Mountlake Terrace Tuesday at 4pm.

In the Friday game, Ben Andrews and Shorewood teammate Avery Foltz both hit doubles. Winning pitcher Riley O'Brien pitched a one-hitter in improving his record to 3-0.

The Shorewood junior varsity team also completed a three-game sweep by defeating the Glacier Peak JVs, 7-2, Saturday at Meridian Park.

The Friday varsity game was moved from Glacier Peak to Meridian Park, forcing the JV game to move from Friday to Saturday.

The Shorewood JVs take an 8-0, 10-0 record into a home game with Mountlake Terrace Tuesday at 4pm at Meridian Park.
