On the fourteenth day of Christmas...

All right, so I added a few days to Christmas. I skipped a few so this is a make-up day. I just found this beauty taken by photographer Lee Lageschulte and decided it was just as good as 12 pipers piping for the 12th Day of Christmas. Lee also sent photos from Hairbrokers in Richmond Beach. The owner is a serious Christmas decorator and I regret there was no room for the photos this year.

I'm sad to see all the outdoor lights coming down. Somehow it seems just that much darker even though we have been blessed with some beautiful weather.

Our readers have sent in photos and great suggestions. Old strings of lights can be recycled at Maple Leaf Hardware through January 14, 2013. And for replacement lights, consider LED lights. The initial purchase is a bit pricey, but they are very bright, extremely energy efficient, and last for many years.
