Power outage in west side of Shoreline Monday

Tuesday, September 25, 2012

Seattle City Light crews restored power about 6 p.m. today to all customers affected by a power outage in Shoreline.

The outage started about noon when an underground cable failed. The outage initially affected about 2,800 homes and businesses.

Crews isolated the damage to restore service for about 2,600 customers by 2 p.m. Full restoration was achieved after crews replaced the damaged cable.

The boundaries of the initial outage were NW 205th Street on the north; Meridian Avenue N on the east; Puget Sound on the west; and N 159th Street on the south. Not all customers within those boundaries were affected.
