Shorecrest reaches finals of State 3A girls’ 4x200-meter relay

Shorecrest has reached the finals of the State 3A girls’ 4x200-meter relay at the State track and field meet at Mount Tahoma High School Stadium in Tacoma.

The Shorecrest team of Senior Kathryn Andria-Habermann, Senior Nicole Harris, Sophomore Sarah Beland and Sophomore Amanda Banks ran second in its heat, behind Kamiakin High School from Kennewick  Thursday.

Shorecrest had the third best preliminary time of 1:44.47 behind Kamiakin (1:43.64) and Nathan Hale of Seattle, which won the other heat in 1:44.44.
         
The meet continues Friday and Saturday.
