Bikram Yoga at The SweatBox just turned four years old. The Shoreline location opened six years after the original Capitol Hill location which just turned ten years old.

The SweatBox offers Bikram Method Hatha Yoga, performed in a heated room and sometimes known as "Hot Yoga".  Bikram Yoga consists of 26-postures and two breathing exercises that improve strength, flexibility and balance while simultaneously enhancing awareness and promoting a calm sense of being.

Bikram Yoga is designed to heal your body from the inside out. Students boast a variety of positive results from healed knees to no more headaches to weight loss.

Owner-instructors Laura Culberg and Frankie Grausam say "Practicing the Bikram Method regularly will improve overall health, minimize stress, relax the mind and energize the body."

Bikram Yoga is rigorous, but all classes offer the same sequence, making it appropriate for all levels. Experienced staff are trained to teach everyone and are known for their individualized instruction.

The studio is located at 200th and Aurora, directly across the street from Costco, next to Lovers.

The SweatBox offers parking, showers, and a range of packages including the Intro Special-- 10 classes for $10 to be used within 10 days.

I Love The SweatBox. It is the best place to practice Bikram yoga. The teachers are kind and compassionate but they are also great at pushing me a little farther in the poses which I greatly appreciate.

The SweatBox teachers often talk about how they offer "real" Bikram Yoga. It wasn't til I went to a Hot Yoga studio in Northgate that I understood what they meant. The teachers really know their stuff!
