Before the renovation

A community ribbon-cutting celebration will mark the grand opening of the expanded and renovated Lake Forest Park Library on Saturday, January 7, 2012 at 9:30am at Lake Forest Park Town Center, located at 17171 Bothell Way NE.

The public is invited to join community leaders and library staff in celebrating the landmark occasion.

Thanks to the $172 million library capital bond approved by voters to fund major improvement projects at KCLS libraries, the library is now 60% larger after being expanded to a total of 5,873 square feet. The renovated space features a public computer cyber bar, expanded seating and study areas and a multi-purpose meeting room.

Following the ribbon-cutting ceremony, the public is invited inside to tour the expanded library and enjoy refreshments. Children will enjoy a magic show performed by magician Jeff Evans.

The temporary library location will close on January 5 and after that date holds may be picked up at the new space starting January 7.
