The Lake Forest Park Library hosts free seminars by Collegewise. This month’s topic, Cost and College, assists students and their families plan to finance their educations.

Music Works NW 1:30-2 pm

Jazz is almost 100 years old, and is rich with a variety of musical styles. Dr. Ron Cole guides students through "standard" Jazz repertory that is the basis for all professional pop and Jazz musicians on the scene today.

Navigating the Holidays Mindfully 1 – 3 pm
Sunday, December 4

Learn simple practices with certified mindfulness coach Lorrie Jones, and take home a list of helpful hints to experience the holidays with calm and ease, eating and drinking mindfully and coping successfully with the ups and downs of this time of year.

Knit-In the Commons 1-4pm
Sunday, December 4

Escape the hustle and bustle of the season for a few hours. Knit with friends, and show off what you’ve made for holiday gifts.

Commons Stories with Threshold Ensemble 7-9 pm
Monday, December 5

Come share a story and experience the interactive and improvisational process of Threshold Ensemble’s playback theater. Made possible by a grant from Humanities Washington.

Northwest Ballet Holiday Recital 1-2:30pm

Join us for a holiday tradition as the Towne Centre's own ballet company dances the steps of the season.

Indoor Farmers Market 11 am-4 pm

Shop for your winter feasts upstairs in the Commons, and select special hand-crafted gifts on the lower level of the Towne Centre.

Pet Food Collection for PAWS 11 am-4pm

Don’t forget the animals at this time of year! The Wild Wolves Campfire group from Shoreline will be at the market to collect donations of canned and bagged food for the dogs and cats at PAWS.

Christmas Carol 1-2 pm

Actor and Dickens scholar Jake Esau offers a dramatic reading of the holiday classic. This is your chance to watch one man be Tiny Tim, Scrooge, and a whole assortment of ghosts.

Computer Q and A 2:30-4pm

Ask questions and get user-friendly answers during this free workshop. This month, we’ll take a common sense look at the benefits and banes of buying online and consider some strategies to shop successfully and safely.

Christmas Hang Ups 3:30-4:30 pm
Sunday, December 18

Youth from the Lake Forest Park Church invite you to experience the real meaning of Christmas, as seen from the perspective of the ornaments on the Watson family tree. This musical is performed by young actors, age 6 to 14.

Violin instructor Shulamit Kleinerman brings her students to the Commons for an afternoon concert of holiday music.

Shoreline Schools Band Concert 6:45-7:15pm

Enjoy lively music played by combined 6th grade bands under the direction of Dennis Ashcroft.

Shoreline Schools Orchestra Concert 7:45-8:15 pm
Monday, December 19

The evening continues with John Ames showcasing the talents of young instrumental musicians.

Ananda Seattle Choir 7-8 pm
Wednesday, December 21

Performing music composed by founder J. Donald Walters, the musical vibrations of the Ananda Seattle choir bring joy and inspiration this holiday season.
