Kids learning crafts at Jaicee Designs
Summer is over, but school has not started. What are you going to do with your kids?

Shoreline Schools don’t begin classes this year until September 12.

One place you can take your kids is Jaicee Designs in Edmonds.

There they will have a chance to practice crafts they know, and learn a variety of new ones. Each day there will be a "special project of the day" in addition to sewing, glass etching, ceramic painting, jewelry making, cooking, scrapbooking, knitting, weaving and more. Children will complete approximately 4-6 different projects daily depending on the craft projects.

They will be open for "No School Day Camp" every week-day from August 29 - September 9; but are closed on Labor Day. They are open from 8am to 6pm for No School Day Camps. The daily rate is $40 (all supplies included), but they have a special rate for people who buy a 5 pack - $185 ($37 per day) or a 10-pack $350 ($35 per day).

Classes are located at 24310 76th Ave West, Edmonds WA 98026

Throughout the whole school year, Jaicee Designs is open whenever school is off. The packages are good for any of these days and do not expire until June 20, 2012. To make a reservation, call 425-775-2035.

Jaicee Designs has four classrooms, each with a special focus such as sewing. This is their fourth year teaching summer camps, with an expanding curriculum including cooking, dog care, American Red Cross certified babysitting classes, computer keyboarding; as well as all the crafts listed above. They also have classes for homeschoolers, scout troops, and host crafting birthday parties.

You may also be familiar with Jaicee Designs through their non-profit division; Kids Are Creative that teaches at area schools. Jaicee Designs/Kids Are Creative have been teaching after school craft classes in area schools since 1995. If you are interested in their coming to your school this year, contact them at 425-775-1950.
