Goss stays above 50 percent in Wednesday vote count

Former Lake Forest Park City Councilwoman Mary Jane Goss kept her portion of the mayoral primary above 50 percent in votes counted Wednesday.

Current Councilman and Deputy Mayor Dwight Thompson, her likely November opponent, has 46 percent.

Here are the Lake Forest Park totals through Wednesday:

Mayor

Dwight A. Thompson 1258     46.06%

Mary Jane Goss          1369     50.13%

Stan Lippmann               92       3.37%

Write-in                          12       0.44%

I thought she was going to get 78% of the vote? Because, 78% of the voters think just like she does about how the City should be run.
