CleanScapes to award $10,000 to a Shoreline neighborhood April 16

CleanScapes will announce the winner of the annual Neighborhood Waste Reduction Rewards competition at the Shoreline Earth Day Every Day event at Central Market, Saturday April 16 at 10 am.

CleanScapes president, Chris Martin, will present a check for $10,000 to representatives of the winning neighborhoods. These funds will go toward a community project in the winning area. The project will be determined through a collaborative process between a selection committee and the City of Shoreline.

In addition to announcing the winner we’ll also kick off the next round of the competition, which goes from April 2011 to March 2012. The next round is a whole new chance for Shoreline neighborhoods to reduce waste and win!
