Business news - new businesses in Shoreline and Lake Forest Park

Two major businesses will open in the Lake Forest Park Towne Centre in coming months.

Planet Fitness will open a 22,000 square foot gym in the space formerly occupied by the failed Gold's Gym. The new gym has a low-cost, no frills approach, and strives for a relaxed, no-judgment atmosphere.

Ross clothing store will open in the long-vacant space previously occupied by Mervyn's on the upper level in the corner space adjacent to the bookstore.

In Shoreline, the old Gold's Gym site is now Toni and Guy's hairdressing academy. Toni and Guy come from the Greenwood Academy, which has closed.

The James Alan Salon has moved into its new location at South Echo Lake. The new site offers a spa and facials as well as hair styling.

The Living Wisdom school has opened the Living Wisely thrift shop at 19042 15th Ave NE, Shoreline 98155 in the old Brown's Coffee Company.

In Von's Square at 16300 Aurora, north of Brown Bear, a new small spa has opened. Aurora Spa specializes in hot stone massage and foot reflexology.
