Embrace Shoreline Schools--Syre Elementary--Saturday, May 15

 On Saturday, May 15, every school in the Shoreline School District had a gardening event to work on the school grounds.

At Melvin G. Syre Elementary, 19545 12th ave NW, Shoreline 98177, 66 participants - 33 kids and 33 adults - from Syre, First Lutheran Church of Richmond Beach, and Richmond Beach Community Association turned the grounds of the Syre Elementary School into a park-like setting.

18 yards bark mulch were laid and 3 yards of gravel shoveled.

24 bags of yard waste were composted.

And everyone seemed to be having a great time making their school grounds beautiful.
